چکیده
Abstract Background Cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) are effective routine treatments for colorectal peritoneal metastasis (PM). However, the safety efficacy of neoadjuvant (NAC) before CRS+HIPEC poorly understood. Therefore, this study aimed to assess perioperative long-term NAC prior patients with synchronous PM. Methods Patients PM who received were systematically reviewed at China National Cancer Center Huanxing Hospital from June 2017 2019. The clinicopathologic characteristics, parameters, survival rates underwent (NAC group) without (non-NAC compared. Results enrolled 52 patients, 20 in group 32 non-NAC group. In group, proportion a carcinomatosis index (PCI) score < 12 was significantly higher than that (80.0% vs 50.0%, P = 0.031), more achieved complete cytoreduction 46.9%, 0.018). two groups had comparable grade III/IV complications similar reoperation mortality ( > 0.05). lower platelet counts (151.9 197.7 × 10 9 /L, 0.036) neutrophil (4.7 7.2 0.030) on postoperative day 1. More survived 2 years (67.4% 32.2%, respectively, 0.044). completeness (HR, 2.99; 95% CI, 1.14–7.84; 0.026), rather NAC, independently associated overall (OS) multivariate analysis after controlling confounding factors. Conclusion administration can be regarded as safe feasible comparably low acceptable morbidity rates. Nevertheless, large-sample randomized controlled studies needed confirm whether confers benefit patients.

BACKGROUND Pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy (PIPAC) is a novel drug delivery system able to induce regression of peritoneal metastasis (PM) in the salvage situation. The aim of this study was to determine the clinical characteristics, tumor histology, and extent of disease of the patients having undergone cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy ...

This review focuses on the underlying rationale for the use of cytoreductive surgery plus hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CS+HIPEC) in the treatment of patients with primary gastrointestinal tumors with metastatic peritoneal disease. It examines the advantages of CS+HIPEC in peritoneal cancers and explores the controversies surrounding this treatment. For low-grade cancers, such as p...

Peritoneal wash cytology was performed before and after NIPS through a port system. Patients were treated with 60 mg/m(2) of oral S-1 for 21 days, followed by a 1-week rest. On days 1, 8, and 15, 30 mg/m(2) of Taxot...
